WineCHATr.com now makes it easier to keep track of your subscribers and communicate directly with customers. Introducing the new Subscriber List Manager. Upload your business’s existing subscriber (or email) list to your private and secure online account and quickly send messages anytime you have something to share or promote. We also make it incredibly easy to collect new subscribers by offering a mailing list signup form on your WineCHATr.com member page. Anyone that visits your page can now subscribe to receive updates and information from your business.

New 100-Point Wine Scoring

For all of those wine drinkers faithful to the 100-point scoring system, we now offer the ability to score your wines this way! The 5-glass scoring is still a primary option, so not to worry if you fill more comfortable using that method. But now you can also use the more universally accepted 100-point system to provide even more detailed wine ratings.
Note, that you may want to go back and update some of your old 5-glass scores in order to more accurately score your wine according to the 100 point scale.

WineCHATr Logo Featured in New Book

Well, even though WineCHATr is still a fairly young project it looks like some people are starting to take notice. In the recent publishing of LogoLounge 4 – 2,000 International Identities by Leading Designers – the catchy WineCHATr logo makes an appearance.
You can find us on page 171 under keyword “Food”. Our logo and branding was concepted and designed by MGPdesign.

New SEARCH Feature Launched

WineCHATr.com is proud to announce the release of our new site wide SEARCH feature. Now you can search for anything from “Washington Wine” to “Morton’s Steakhouse” across the entire community. Or, click the adjacent radio button to just search through our growing list of wines. So whether you’re looking to find information on a particular topic or to see what’s been written about your business or wine, our new search feature makes that possible.
As we continue working to enhance our sites overall usability and search ability we will be releasing many updates and new features such as this. Stay tuned for the eagerly awaited events calendar as well as a more region specific review search option – coming soon.

New WineCHATr.com Usability Features

Hey all! It’s been a while since the last update, and that’s because we’ve been so darn busy working on the site lately. Which means plenty of good things to come! Right now however, we wanted to let you know about a couple new usability features that were just recently added to the site:
First, you can now view global postings from anywhere, on any page, throughout the site. What does that mean? Well, if you are on your page or someone else’s you now have the option to jump from there to all posts made by other WineCHATr.com members. View all, or sort by category or topic. We’ve even added the ability to sort by how popular the posts are (how many votes they’ve received) or by when they were posted. Check it out! It’s the “VIEW POSTINGS” option directly under the main navigation bar.

If you haven’t noticed yet we’ve been making quite a few changes around WineCHATr.com lately. One thing you should have seen was our new homepage! We’ve added featured reviews and wines as well as poplar and recent postings. There are also some brightly colored icons that take you to our new How To section, where you can learn more about the various features available. Below are some additional updates you may be interested in:
Page Consolidation:
We’ve limited the number of posts on each page to 10, which allows each page to load more quickly and helps to keep older posts organized.
Vote for Post:

No Waiting at the Border for Canadians

We would like to thank those neighbors to our north who pointed out the fact that our sign up form did not allow input for a Canadian postal code. This oversight has been corrected freeing up the WineCHATr.com website from any border restrictions! So come one come all and enjoy the WineCHATr Community - a great place to connect over wine!

New Feature - Send a Message

Now you can communicate directly with other CHATr members without the whole world butting into your business! Just click "Send a Message" when viewing any other member page and you'll be able to chat privately. This is great if you want to quickly share some information or want to plan to meet somewhere. Enjoy the freedom of communication!

New Posting Features - Send to Friend

Each posting now includes a Send to Friend option, so when you find something of interest on WineCHATr.com you can share it with your friends, family, casual aquantences, strangers off the street, or even your pets...as long as they have email addresses. Just click on the "Send to Friend" link, located at the bottom of each post, and enter your friend's email. They will receive an email message with a short description and link to the posting. Time to start sharing!

Newly Added Features

Hi all! We just uploaded some new features:
- When someone adds a comment to one of your posts, you will receive a little email notification, so you can go and check it out.
- If you don't like a comment on one of your posts, you can now delete the comment directly from your main member postings page. Just click the Delete this Comment link.
Coming soon: Send to a friend links on the Wine Details page and the Listing Details page, so you can send those links to friends who need to be in the know.

Thank you everyone for being patient with us as we work to create the best wine community on the web! This has been a long complicated journey but progress is being made and we are eagerly anticipating the end of the road. But then again there will never be an end, because we will continually work to improve the features and user experience on WineCHATr.com long after the version 1.0 launch. With that said we will be officially launching WineCHATr.com very soon (v1.0). Included in this launch will be many tantelizing features including the ability to post blog messages, review anything and everything related to wine, rate wines, and ask the questions that matter to you. Additionally you will be able to keep track of your own Wine Journal, full of tasting notes you've written on the wines you've tried, as well as the option to track wines from your Virtual Wine Cellar and add other wines to your Wish List, as a reminder to purchase later. Up and Coming - Invite Your Friends!

In the next day or so we will be adding a new Invite Your Friends page where you can send emails to all of your friends with an invitation link for them to join WineCHATr.
When the follow the link and join, they will automatically be added as Connections to you. Super!
Also coming, improved Connection management, and more features for managing your own postings!
